Shabbat and Holiday Holiday services are mornings at 9:00 a.m.

The Thanksgiving Table: The Necessity of Conversations

After the fall of the  Second Temple, the Rabbis did something spiritually audacious and pragmatic, they taught that some of the Divine presence which filled the Temple (Beit HaMikdash) entered into the homes of every Jew - particularly around the dining room table. They would term this the “Mikdash Me’at” or the “Small Temple/Sanctuary.” (Note: The synagogue and study hall were also referred to a mikdash me’at as well) This was a revolutionary and powerful idea because it meant that no matter where Jews would gather to break bread together, celebrate holidays together, and make time to be in conversation together, there was the presence of God’s holiness in that place.

Talmud Study
WISDOM OF THE TALMUD CLASS
Talmud Class on Shabbat - Masechet Megillah. All are welcome! (No previous Talmud experience necessary) This is a perfect time to join the Talmud class as it is a new tractate (volume) and we are just beginning.

New Learner's Minyan
Did you ever want to learn more about our services? Curious about the meaning behind the prayers? Join Rabbi in a 1/2 hour workshop (8 - 8:30am) the first Wednesday of the month (beginning August 2nd) exploring both the mechanics and meaning behind our siddur (prayer book) in a small and low pressure Learner's Minyan. Bring your questions and spiritual curiosity. Space is limited to 5 - 8 participants. RSVP directly to Rabbi Singer.
